2002

Establishment of Rossville Community Foundation

  • Donation of $5,000 for the pool to start the Rossville Community Foundation

  • Pool Task Force raised $200,000, secured an additional $200,000, and the City issued an additional bond.

  • Pool money was kept separate to ensure usage for the pool.


2004

18 Month Civic Leadership Training

  • Funded by Kansas Health Foundation

  • Spurred the development of four Leadership Rossville Classes and TASMAD


2007

Playground Built

  • Grant of $75,000 matched with in-kind donations.


Convened Preschool Early Childhood

  • Education that created state model for preschool


Joe Campbell Memorial Stadium Improvements

  • Joe Campbell Memorial Stadium receives improvements with a $5,000 Royals Grant

2010

Recycled Tire Grant

  • A recycled tire grant is used to install new park picnic tables


Tennis & Basketball Courts

  • Tennis and basketball courts are funded through Doug Perine Memorial.

  • Completed in 2015.


2011

Rossville Safe Streets

  • Rossville Safe Streets receives PSA Grant

  • Rossville Community Foundation becomes fiscal agent for Rossville Safe Streets


2013

Reader’s Digest Contest

  • City works with Rossville Community Foundation to win Readers Digest $10,000 contest, “We Hear You America,” focused on Main Street


2014

Microfilm Digitization

  • Rossville Community Foundation granted funds to the Rossville Library for microfilm digitization


2015

Highway 24 LED Sign

  • Rossville Community Foundation granted funds to LED Sign on school property off Hwy 24


Disc Golf

  • Disc golf created in the Park


2017

Rossville Pool 10 Year Anniversary

  • Celebrated the 10th Anniversary of the Rossville pool


Andrick Park

  • Collaborated with the City to build Andrick Park and install memorial bricks

Community Calendar Project

  • City works with Rossville Community Foundation to win Readers Digest $10,000 contest, “We Hear You America,” focused on Main Street

COVID 19 Pandemic

  • COVID mini-grants to local organizations & signs in community to support everyone in difficult times


Park Restrooms

  • Supported cost of design plans for renovation of restrooms in City park


2021

Annual Scholarships

  • Foundation starts annual $1000 scholarship to a Rossville High School senior


Library Renovation

  • $20,000 Grant to Rossville Community Library for renovation


2022

Trail Project Starts

  • Kick-off to Trail Project with grant award from the Kansas Department of Wildlife and Parks and local fundraising initiative


Welcome Sign

  • Partnered with City to replace Welcome sign on south side of Rossville

Toadstrangler Trail

  • Toadstrangler Trail (a private-public partnership) opens in late summer
